Busy week begins

Father’s Day weekend was great, especially since we were able to spend it at home since Andrew’s team lost on Friday. I was thrilled to be going home Friday evening with Ken. If they would have won we would have played again on Saturday and I would have had to catch a ride home with someone else, probably Andrew’s dad. After Blake and Chase’s baseball game on Saturday we spent the afternoon with my niece Emma swimming, grilling out, and making smores.

Andrew #9

Can you find Andrew? Let me give you a hint… he is the only one without a hat on! He is the catcher so he always has a helmet on…either for catching or when he is up to bat.

Warriors

Sunday morning we went to church and then did some shopping. We had already celebrated Father’s Day with my dad because we didn’t know if we were going to be home or not. We met Ken’s dad for dinner at a restaurant along with both of Ken’s brothers. They came back to our house afterward to swim. Ken had already received his Father’s Day gift. We got him a MacbookPro and a 24 inch flat screen to go along with it. I am slowly moving all of my computer stuff from my laptop to our iMac desktop computer. We would love to be PC free someday. We still have to figure out what database program to use for our business and then we will be good to go.

Only a few more weeks and we will be off to Myrtle Beach for a week long baseball tournament. Until then I am doing my best to try to balance work, the kids, and the house. This week Andrew and Blake have football camp on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday for a few hours in the morning. Wednesday we plan to go see Transformers 2. All 3 boys have baseball practice on Wednesday. Andrew has baseball games on Tuesday and Thursday. Friday Blake is having 10 friends over for his birthday party. Grandparents are invited to come at the end of the party for cake and ice cream and to watch our towns fireworks display from our front yard. Saturday Blake and Chase have their last baseball game and afterward we are having an “end of the season” swim party at our house. Andrew has a double header on Saturday, but luckily he is with his dad so he can take him. I will be missing his games for the first time this year! So really not much is going on around here. HA!

Bed, Bistro, Baseball

After stopping at several different furniture stores I finally decided to have Karli use Andrew’s bed for now. Karli was more excited about picking out a new comforter rather than the actual bed anyways. We found this cute set at where else, but Target! It is really cute. I haven’t decided if I am going to hang her white curtain back up which would match just fine or find something else. My baby is in a big girl bed now…oh my! Next thing I know she will be going off to college.

Still plenty of room to play

We took the kids (minus Andrew) to P.F. Chang’s… they have them all over the country. Yum…the chicken lettuce wraps are delicious. They were so well behaved. It’s like we are ALMOST to the point where we can relax and enjoy ourselves more at restaurants.

Don't they look mischievous ?

You couldn’t pay me to have any more kids. I am so happy to be done with diapers, crying, strollers, etc. The worst I have to do is help Karli reach the soap in public bathrooms. Don’t get me wrong I loved my kids when they were babies and they were all good babies, but I feel like I am more relaxed as a mom now that they kids are older. We attended graduation parties both Saturday and Sunday and I was able to mingle and enjoy myself rather than tend to my kids the whole time.

We are preparing to leave for a long weekend for Andrew’s baseball team – State Championship Tournament. Depending on how they play we could be there all 4 days or home as early as 2 days. His team doesn’t have the greatest record, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we are done on day 2. It is 3 hours away and Ken has to come back on day 3 no matter what because Blake and Chase have a game and he is the head coach. I will be left without a car and will have to count on someone else to take me and Andrew to the games and such. Karli will stay with me the entire time also. For once I am actually hoping they lose!

movies & tv

It’s the small things

This is like a dream come true. Finally, after months of begging Andrew to watch Twilight with me…he finally caved! He had a friend from his baseball team stay overnight last night and his friend wanted to watch the movie. I LOVE him. At first Andrew was in the other room on the computer, but after about 15 minutes he decided to join us.

They are both asking me questions and everything, it’s wonderful. It’s the little things like this that make my day perfect!

I will be even more overjoyed if once the movie is over Andrew says he wants to go see New Moon with me when it comes out.

Speedway

Karli took the first one of Tori. Isn’t she the cutest scraggly looking dog? Why are Yorkie’s ears so big? The other pics are from the Speedway that we went to last Friday. The kids had a lot of fun at the track. It’s not really my cup of tea, it sort of reminds me of camping (dirty and yucky), which I don’t care for unless it’s in a fully equipped log cabin or something. I managed though and hopefully the kids won’t ask to go back anytime soon.

Even though I enjoy look in the backyard and seeing sites like this… I am so not looking forward to Wednesday at noon. The start of summer vacation. Help us all.

Speedway

Tonight is family night at a nearby speedway. $25 gets a family of 4 into the park plus 4 hot dogs and 4 drinks. Pretty good deal I think. Kids 5 and under are free. The boys went around getting autographs and pictures with the drivers before the race. Karli only liked the pink car with the girl driver of course! We have been here a couple of hour already and I just finished reading my US Weekly magazine. The kids are having fun..I’m ready for bed.

Karli’s Photographs

Karli seen my camera laying on the counter over the weekend and she was taking photos of everything and anything. These photos that she took of herself crack me up. The way she was smiling at the camera was too cute.

I have no idea how she took this photo. Either she figured out how to use the timer or she was really fast backing up.

Weekend recap

Latest Happenings:

Friday- neighborhood garage sale that I decided to participate in only because I already had things priced and left over from the sale we had at my mom’s house 2 weeks ago. Only made about $130. Better than nothing.

Saturday – stopped at a garage sale on the way to Blake and Chase’s baseball game and bought Karli an Easy Bake Oven for $5. I was going to get her one for her birthday. Oh well! Watched their games and then went to Andrew’s game at noon. He has been playing catcher and he got his thumb and 2 fingers smashed by a batter. It was catcher interference…and he was in a lot of pain. Came home, kids swam a little bit. Karli, Emma (niece) and I left to go to Target to get some food for her Easy Bake Oven. I ran my pinky toe into a sprinkler head that was sticking up and thought I might die. It is still purple, though not broken. Baked some brownies in the oven, see pics below. Watched Mall Cop…too funny. Kevin James reminds me of my husband quite a bit. LOL!

Sunday – Andrew had a game at 11am. Missed church again. Packed up garage sale stuff and took a couple of bins to my mom’s for sale next year. Ugh. Did some reading, hung out with the kids, and waited patiently for the MTV Movie Awards.

The girls had a lot of fun making brownies with Karli’s oven. Although these tiny little bites that we all had to have after making only two pans of brownies were hilarious. I told Karli we should cook with her oven and dishes everyday and I would lose more weight.

Chase enjoyed using the cooking tool to pretend choke himself instead.
