#365dog – Week 29

Day 197

I made Karli give the Chick-fil-A cow a kiss before she could get some dinner!

Day 198

Karli had dance nationals in Kalahari. I thought the girls performed their very best and while they didn’t take home the top scores, they gave it their all.

Day 199

Second day of dance nationals. On the way home we stopped to have a Sonic burger and milkshake. Karli thought it was so delicious and said we need a Sonic by our house. We actually have one about 15 minutes away, but have never eaten there. So was pretty excited to hear that!

Day 200

I am a genius. Getting the kids a pool toy that encourages more fighting.

Day 201

Painting the boys room and they wanted to keep the red stripe so LOTS of trim work. Painting over the blues with a light gray for Bedford colors NOT Ohio State, haha!

Day 202

All done and boy is my back feeling it.

Day 203

I’m loving this season of the Bachelorette. It’s crazy to think how many years I have watched this show…from the beginning. I can’t imagine anyone is confused about who she is going to choose. Pretty easy to see!

Day 189

Finished the second book Where She Went in one day. So good! If you like mushy young love kinda books

Ouch! Andrew sliced his thumb open at work. Thank goodness no stitches, just glue and some steri strips. Oh and paper duty at work for a few days. LOL

Blake was finally able to celebrate his birthday with some friends!!

Karli is writing a book about a girl named Lexi who is a gymnast and wants to be in the Olympics someday. This is her book cover.

Ken has been coaching youth football for almost 10 years. This has become a tradition with his team… a day of MUD PIT tackling! The boys love it!! As for myself, well let’s keep in mind I am the one that has to do the laundry ;(

#365dog – Week 27

Day 182

We took the kids to see Transformers Age of Extinction at the Phoenix Theaters in Monroe. Super comfy recliners, perfect for a 3 hour movie.

Day 183

He’s stuck with me for life :) We were at Pacesetter Park waiting for the fireworks.

Day 184

Happy 4th of July! We had a low key day and for the first time in a long time Ken didn’t buy any fireworks. Instead we watched someone else in our neighborhood waste their hard earned money, LOL!

Day 185

Karli bonds with dogs wherever she goes. We were at a cookout and of course she spent the entire time playing with the dogs.

Day 186

Tori was all dressed for a quick car ride. She’s not spoiled at all.

Day 187

Wonderful Sunday…I relaxed outside and finished my book while Ken made this window seat for Tori. I think it’s safe to say she is spoiled.

Call it bad luck

We have the worst luck when it comes to getting our cars hit in parking lots. Twice in less than 12 months even!

First I had Ken’s Camaro at Karli’s dance studio and one of the teenage girls backed into it. The crazy part is she was parked on the same side of the lot as me, but literally backed up at an angle where she side swiped the front of his black car with her off white car. Luckily another mom witnessed it and told me she seen her do it. The girl’s father was more than willing to pay to have Ken’s Camaro fixed and the repairs turned out perfect.

Then just last week Ken was parked at our local hardware store. Another guy pulled right in the parking lot and rammed into our parked car. Someone had witnessed it and waited for Ken to come out of the store and give him the other guy’s license plate number. They said it made a really loud noise and couldn’t believe there wasn’t major damage done to our car. There is a small dent, about the size of a dime in the chrome part of my bumper, but nothing that we are going to worry about. The store gave Ken a copy of the video footage…wait until you see how the guy gets out of his car and barely looks to see if he caused damage and then just goes in the store like nothing happened!

#365dog – Week 26

Day 175

Started reading If I Stay by Gayle Forman. The movie comes out in August and the previews look really good so I thought I better read the book first. So far it’s really good…looks like a real tear jerker.

The dogs were trying to keep cool by hiding in the shade.

Day 178

Chase had fun diving in the pool at a graduation party. The lifeguard said he should be on a swim team…that he had a good stroke. I was like…we don’t have time for that!

Day 179

Blake had the best birthday present today…he won the Championship baseball game! First time taking First Place for Ken as well.

Day 180

Andrew’s graduation party was a huge success. So glad that is over though…a lot of work!

Day 181

New artwork for my home office. Love all the colors and it matches so well.
