Blake is sick today so Chase had to empty the dishwasher by himself. My tiny little guy has trouble putting everything away, but he DOES get it done.

Little Miss Perfect

My daughter, who is 4 years old, just came up to me with a picture that Blake colored and said, “Is this very appropriate for a monkey?” She was pointing to the fact that Blake colored the monkey’s hands the same color as the rest of the body. She explained that the hands should be a lighter color than his body. Could she get anymore picky? Although my main point is what 4 year old uses the word “appropriate”? It sounded weird coming out of her mouth. My kids are growing up too fast.

I know, this isn’t a video or photo of my own. I want to know how this stuff works. I can’t even remotely figure it out. Anyone have a magician in their family?

I was disappointed to find out that Andrew has 10 journal entries to write for English by Friday, which is the end of the trimester. I yelled at him about how he is heading down the wrong the path with this kind of procrastination. It is so easy when there are so many distractions in life. He has his friends, his darn phone and the endless texting, sports, two families to spend time with, and then school. We tell him all the time that his priorities should be school, family, and then friends. It is hard to be a teen, I know that. He has always been lucky to have a large group of friends, some that are athletes and some that are studious. Andrew is somewhere in the middle, which I totally think is awesome! After he went to bed, I snuck a peak at his notebook. How can he get all A’s and be SO unorganized? He doesn’t even put the papers in the folders…he just throws them in this pile on top! I suppose I should just let him do his thing, right?

I’m laying in bed watching The Bachelor finale and I didn’t take a picture yet today, so you are getting a picture of my bedside table. Pretty typical items: lamp, clock with two time settings so I don’t have to constantly reset the time, cordless phone, tissues, lotion, chapstick, Twilight book by Stephenie Meyer, and my Mom’s Devotional Bible. Oh, and my fan that I run every night just because I have to have the noise!
Pretty exciting huh? What do you have on your bedside table?

Chase and Karli wanted to lay in our bed and watch Willy Wonka. I don’t think they brought enough stuffed animals. Luckily I am able to pick them up and carry them to their rooms still…weighing in at a mere 30 and 35 pounds.

Freshly bathed baby Tori, aka Sassers, aka Sasquatch, aka ToriTors. In the past I always said I would never own a Yorkie because they always look so raggy and dirty. I changed my mind after viewing one too many photos online of these cute little Yorkies made up all pretty with bows in their hair. Tori is the sweetest most cuddly dog I have ever owned, but she does look raggy and dirty most days. She never smells bad because I love to rub a dryer sheet on her fur. Ever try that on your dog? It works great! I bathe Tori by bringing hert into the shower. It funny because when you pick her up she paddles her legs like she is swimming in midair. Then I dry her with the hair dryer which she absolutely loves. I sort of have two daughters now…except this one doesn’t like hair pretties all that much.

Things that make me happy that I have a daughter. A little girl can never have too many hair pretties.
