My current favorite perfume – M by Mariah Carey. Ken bought it for me for Christmas and it was my favorite present. It has a light scent… Not overbearing. Love it.

Myrtle Beach…here we come…again

We just found out that Andrew’s baseball team is going to Myrtle Beach in July for the Ripken Youth Baseball Tournament. We vacationed in Myrtle Beach last summer. Guess how thrilled I am about having to drive 14 hours to the same place this summer? So much for the Cancun vacation for Spring Break. It’s too risky financially. Not unless some miracle occurs and we start making physician placements like crazy. It is going to cost us $700 alone for Andrew to be in the tournament. I knew being on a travel baseball team was expensive, but we are going to be spending $2000 for him to be on the team for one season and that doesn’t include the money that we are going to have to spend for the other 5 members in our family to go to Myrtle Beach. We are going to do some fundraising activities. One thing we plan on doing is a casino bus trip like they had for his football team. Andrew’s baseball team is doing a bus trip, but Andrew’s dad and I are actually going to organize our own trip so we can raise more money. We only need 25 couples to fill a bus. We plan to also do things during the bus ride to make money too. 50/50 raffles, jello shots, $1 beer, and more. We should be able to raise pretty darn close to $2000 on one bus trip!

Before we knew that Andrew’s team was going to be selected to be in the tournament I was talking to Andrew about the possibility of him playing in Myrtle Beach. I was like…are you sure you would even want to go? He said a bunch of things like… “Are you kidding me, this is like the opportunity of a lifetime!” “It will literally be the best moment in my entire life so far!” I am proud of him and I can only be thankful that he is being given such an opportunity.

It’s freezing here… I hope you are keeping warm like my little Tori here. School was canceled today and they already canceled for tomorrow. Good thing I worked about 10 hours on Wednesday so I don’t feel as bad for not accomplishing as much today. I was on a roll there… Blogging every day… Work got in the way. And now my kids are in the way today, lol!

My niece Emma turns 5 on January 20th. We celebrated her birthday last weekend since that is when her dad had her for this month.

My lil drama queen

Chase often tells Karli to quit acting like a drama queen. Most of the time I have to agree with him. You can certainly tell that Karli is the only princess in the house. She likes things her way and much too often she gets it. She follows me everywhere and I can rarely leave the house without her. When I do sneak away without her she always greets me with a huge hug as though I was gone for days. Actually she does that when I pick her up from preschool too. She runs up to me with the biggest smile and jumps up for a hug. Other moms have commented on how they wish their children missed them that much. She makes me so proud. She is the most loving, perfect, spoiled little princess. She is everything I always wanted all those years that I dreamed of having a daughter.

I could be having the worst day and she always says or does something that makes me crack up laughing. Today she was playing with Chase’s Nintendo DS because she couldn’t find hers. All of a sudden she starts screaming, “I lost it in the sewer, Chase is going to kill me!” I didn’t even get out of my office chair because like I said, this is a daily occurrence with her. Within seconds she was in my office where I was talking with Andrew. She told Andrew and I how she dropped Chase’s DS pen down the sewer and she can’t get it out all the while tears are streaming down her face. Andrew and I start laughing because we knew that she was referring to the floor vent, not the sewer. Andrew got the pen out for her and all was well again. She told Andrew, “Thank goodness you knew how to get that out Andrew, your so big now!” She admires her oldest brother so much and she tells him how much she misses him when he goes to his dads house. It’s the cutest thing.
