Typical Saturday

Our weekend went to fast as usual. Saturday I had all sorts of running around to do and then later that evening we had a few couples come over to play cards. I actually won the first round of Texas Holdem’ – $35! Sunday was kind of a lazy day and I did a whole lot of nothing. I didn’t even cook, we got pizza – which yuck. I felt so terrible afterward. It made my stomach hurt and I felt so bloated and I only had two pieces. I sort of enjoyed it though because it was like my body was saying, “Get this crap out of me and eat something healthy”…which is a great sign.

I recorded some snippets of my day Saturday and thought I would share with you all. I should have had more of the kids in the video because after awhile I got sick of looking at my face when I was editing. It was a busy day and the kids weren’t with me for most of my running around and such. I love that it snowed Friday night and today it all melted and I am back to staring at the dried out front yard grass again outside my office window. Spring is hopefully on its way. I can’t wait to start getting some exercise outside.

Hope you all had a great weekend, what was the highlight of yours?

Karli does my makeup

I seen several videos on YouTube of husbands doing their wives makeup or boyfriends doing their girlfriends makeup and I thought they were fun to watch. Apparently this is one of many video “tags” floating around on YouTube. How fun!! I decided to have Karli, my 7 year old daughter, do my makeup. I found some other people that did the same so I wasn’t the only one with this idea. It was fun and I TAG you all to do it too!!

Bowling Alley Fun

We just had to get the kids out of the house during Christmas break…they were driving us batty! We took them to the bowling alley for some family time. Oh and I played that silly game where you have to stop the cubes on top of one another, that game is such a rip off! I played it 3 times and got to the final cube each time and then lost. I was trying to win the kids an Xbox (like we need another one) so then they came up with their own ideas of who they could get one! Watch and see!

Chase’s Christmas Program

Another better late than never video of our corndog Chase. He did such a good job at his Christmas musical. I tried to just cut and paste the parts that he was in. He is the only boy elf that has lines. In the beginning he is on the far left.

Chase’s Workout Routine

This post is written by Chase…he wanted to share a video with you all.

When I found out my parents were making weight loss videos I thought I would share with you some of the exercises that I do daily to keep fit. If you do this workout at least once a day every day you could have a fit body and flat abs just like me!! Just try it!
Peace out,
Chase, 9 years old
P.S. This video was recorded by my 7 year old sister Karli.

Cool Long Basketball Shot

Uncle Don make this pretty sweet basketball shot over the summer. It was getting dark outside so the quality isn’t the best though.

Hope they like their new home

I just transferred most of our YouTube Videos from our old channel to our new channel. It took a few hours and now I’m sad because… #1 – I wanted to go to bed early tonight and it’s now 12:30am (we need to get back on schedule) and #2 – I wanted to play some Modern Warfare 3 tonight instead! I didn’t realize it would take so long. It could have been worse though I suppose.

It can take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour to upload a single video to YouTube, but I used this website called KeepVid to download the videos from our old channel and it saved them in MP4 format. This allowed the upload back to YouTube to go so much quicker. You know YouTube could make this so much easier by allowing people to change their user names! Also, it stinks a little bit because we lost all of our views on those videos, but I think it’s worth it. Any of our videos that could not be monetized by placing ads on them – I left on our old channel so that way I don’t have any copyright issues on our new channel. I think it’s silly that YouTube doesn’t allow you to use music and certain things in your videos. I feel like it’s basically like free advertising for the music so why not allow people to use it. As long as you are not posting an entire song or movie, what’s the harm? Oh well, what do I know. I also left our video from 2010 where Andrew and I did a review on our favorite iPad apps. It has over 8,500 views and I don’t want that number to start over.

So if you are in the mood to waste some time and watch some of our old videos – mostly from the summer of 2010, feel free! Here are all of the links:

Plus an oldie but goodie that I moved to our new channel. One of my favorites of Chase and Karli when they were little.
