Karli finally requested to have her hair cut shorter. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE her with long hair. All the options and she looks so girly with her long hair. But the she absolutely hates when I brush it. Every day she gets out of the shower and I swear she starts whining the second I pick up the brush. Someday when she is old enough to properly brush it out herself she can have hair as long as she wants.
Tuesday night she came to me and said she wanted her hair cut really short, like all the way to her ears! I said that would look like a boy haircut and suggested we cut it to her shoulders. Twice now I have found a pair of scissors laying in her room and once a few strands of hair were laying nearby. I knew if I didn’t cut her hair soon she would be attempting to cut it herself.
Yesterday before school I decided to cut it for her. I layered the bottom a bit to add a little dimension (look at me sounding all hair stylish like!) and it turned out really cute. The ends sort of flip out on their own. Her hair is so darn thin it looks clumpy after a few hours of brushing it. Her new hair cut makes her look so adorable, of course I am biased. The best part is she loves it and I keep catching her shaking her head back and forth or running her hands through it. She told me that when I grow up I should be a hair cutter. LOL! I think another reason she wanted her hair cut shorter is she changes her earrings every day now and we recently bought some really cute ones. She loves that her friends at school comment about her earrings every day.
I absolutely LOVE having a daughter. I seriously don’t know what I would do without her. Even if she is a little bit boyish with some things, like constantly trying to wrestle with my dad…she is still my girly girl!

Girl, you did such a great job on Karli’s hair!!! I wish I could cut Maya’s hair! She is in a huge need of a cut! Maybe I should give it a try…it’s 3.5 days until summer, so maybe not many people would notice if I cut it and messed up!! LOL
Anyway, Karli is beautiful as usual!! :)
It looks great!! She is so precious and getting to be a big girl! Way to go!!
