Karli loves to watch YouTube just as much as she does making videos. It was so cute when she came to me and said, “Let’s make a what’s in our purses video!” I was going to make one along with her, but my purse is extremely boring. Other than a bunch of receipts and chapstick, you won’t find much in my purse. I’m not one to carry around makeup or anything like that. Karli had just got a new purse and here she is sharing the contents :)

Both Ken and the two youngest kids were nominated to do the ice bucket challenge for ALS. We will be donating any money made off these two videos to the ALS Association by the end of September. Even Tori, our Yorkie, took the challenge by accident in Ken’s video!

I guess this is what happens when your daughter enters the double digits…she plans the birthday party herself! Karli knew exactly what she wanted when we went shopping for decorations and such for her party. She knew she wanted turquoise and pink and she didn’t want a cake, she wanted an ice cream sundae bar. A couple of nights before her party we made a menu and everything served at the party was her idea. Actually it was kind of nice not having to worry about putting together a party that would make her happy. She did all the hard work for me.
We bought all of the party supplies at Party City. The ice cream bowls that we personalized for all of the girls came from the Libbey Glass Factory. I seen that Amazon carries the same dishes, 
The party turned out perfectly except for the 30 minutes or so that it rained. It didn’t keep the girls from swimming though!
Karli had been begging pretty hard for a guinea pig or iPhone 5C for her birthday. She even tossed in the request for a baby sister, I’m sure just to get me to cave on the iPhone! I got her the easiest gift to take care of. She got the blue iPhone 5C and a Lifeproof case that if she dare takes off the phone it is going up for sale on Ebay. In some ways it’s insane to me that a 10 year old would have a cell phone, but I had told her a long time ago if our YouTube videos, specifically the ones that she makes, got to the point of making enough money each month to cover her cell phone bill she could get one. We are more than covering the cost of her phone and her dance expenses…so how could I say no?

We’ve been to the Toledo Zoo many times before, but there were quite a few updates since the last time we went. When the kids were little we would go at least once a year. Blake wasn’t too thrilled about going, but we made him go, LOL! It turned out to be a really nice day. Here’s a little Animal Montage Video… the Toledo Zoo was actually voted the #1 zoo in the USA. Pretty cool!

Karli’s room all cleaned and organized. Wish it would last! We have a new nightstand being delivered that will replace her dresser to make more room.
