What’s Popular?

Conversation with Karli as we were walking to the car from Andrew’s baseball game tonight.

Karli- Are shooting stars real?
Me- Yep
K- If I ever see a shooting star I am going to wish to be popular.
M – Ohhhhkayyyyy
K- What does popular mean?
M- What do you think it means?
K- I think it’s when you are grown up and fancy and sometimes really pretty.
M- (laughing) Well sort of, it means that you are nice to everyone and have lots of friends, but you don’t have to be older.
K- I am totally going to be popular in first grade next year!
