What I’m reading & meeting Michele (finally!)

I finally got my laptop back…yeah!! Ken just closed a job….yeah!!! Only 7 more days of school before summer vacation starts. NKOTBSB concert is next week. Life has been great, but honestly I haven’t been blogging much because the things on my mind are not blog material. I hate that! When these little things happen in my life and I can’t write about them because what I have to say would upset someone or make them mad. That is one of the things I miss about having a private blog that only my online friends know about. I have to censor what I write hoo.

One of my favorite things about summer (or almost summer I should say) is reading by the pool. I actually put my iPad in a plastic bag so I can take it outside near the water. I have been reading the Sex and the City prequel books by Candace Bushnell – The Carrie Diaries and Summer and the City. I am about half way through the second one. They are pretty good books about Carrie Bradshaw’s life during and after high school. All the typical teenage drama, some background on how Carrie became a writer and details on how she meet a couple of the girls from the Sex and the City series…I won’t say who! They are a must read, if you are a fan of the show.

I also want to share that I finally met an online friend in person last week. I met Michele from Coffeesoup after knowing her online for almost 9 years! She lives in California and she had to come to Michigan for some work training. I was only able to spend a handful of hours with her, but I am so happy we were able to meet finally. She is sweet, funny, and downright adorable. I can not believe I didn’t think to get a picture of the two of us together!! How did we miss that Michele?? Well we are hopefully going to get together in the next year or so to celebrate turning 40 (really just a lame excuse to get together!), maybe a Vegas trip or something!

Sheesh! I have been meaning to email you since I got home. I absolutely loved meeting you and the girls, and wish we had more time. Was it just me or did it not even seem.. well, I don’t want to say that it seemed like no big deal, but it just felt like we meet up and gossip all the time, KWIM? I guess I mean that it didn’t seem awkward or uncomfortable at all. I loved getting to actually SEE you as you talked, so now I can picture the expressions you make LOL. We are definitely doing this again! :)

You are totally right! It didn’t really feel like it was the first time we met. I was a little nervous up until the second I seen you and then it was like we have known one another forever and it was just another day of chatting… LOL!
