Day 02 — Something you love about yourself

October 6, 2010

in all about me

I love that I am more than “just a mom” even though I have been a mom most of my adult life. Andrew was born when I had just turned 23, barely old enough to understand what it meant to be a parent. 4 kids and 15 years later I find myself very content with my life. Although I don’t think this would be true if I didn’t have things going on in my life other than raising kids. My kids are my first priority every day, but there is still plenty of time for myself. I work with pride every day…I love working with Ken and having our own business. I am pretty knowledgeable about all types of entertainment – music, tv, movies. Go ahead, quiz me! I love to spend time organizing photo albums and scrapbooks for my kids so they have something to look back on someday. Sure this sort of involves my kids, but it’s a hobby that I enjoy. I like to read books and celebrity gossip magazines. I enjoy knitting, even though I haven’t completed anything in a long time! I like to gab with friends on the phone, although this isn’t my first choice when having free time. Haha! I love technology and learning more about it all the time. Just yesterday Ken wanted me to take his Macbook to the repair shop for this loud noise it kept making. I took it apart, figured out the problem myself, and ordered the part so I can fix it. I love stuff like that! I love that there is more to me than just being married and having kids.

I think it’s awesome that you love to do so many different things and are still a wonderful mom. What kid wants a boring mom anyway? ;)

I totally can relate. Sometimes it’s just so nice to know that we moms are good for more than just being a mom and wife! LOVE IT!

I, too, became a mom at 23 and I, too am very content with life. It feels good, doesn’t it?

I am so happy that you are doing this meme!
