What’s in my craft bin?

I wanted to share with you everything that I have in my craft bin. Sometimes I feel like I like to buy crafts more than I do even making them. Then again I am a girl and of course I love to shop no matter what it’s for! I have some other things that aren’t even in this bin, like construction paper, crayons, etc. Hope you like my video!

Karli’s 10th Birthday

I guess this is what happens when your daughter enters the double digits…she plans the birthday party herself! Karli knew exactly what she wanted when we went shopping for decorations and such for her party. She knew she wanted turquoise and pink and she didn’t want a cake, she wanted an ice cream sundae bar. A couple of nights before her party we made a menu and everything served at the party was her idea. Actually it was kind of nice not having to worry about putting together a party that would make her happy. She did all the hard work for me.

We bought all of the party supplies at Party City. The ice cream bowls that we personalized for all of the girls came from the Libbey Glass Factory. I seen that Amazon carries the same dishes, but we didn’t have enough time to wait for shipping.

The party turned out perfectly except for the 30 minutes or so that it rained. It didn’t keep the girls from swimming though!

Karli 10th Birthday

Karli had been begging pretty hard for a guinea pig or iPhone 5C for her birthday. She even tossed in the request for a baby sister, I’m sure just to get me to cave on the iPhone! I got her the easiest gift to take care of. She got the blue iPhone 5C and a Lifeproof case that if she dare takes off the phone it is going up for sale on Ebay. In some ways it’s insane to me that a 10 year old would have a cell phone, but I had told her a long time ago if our YouTube videos, specifically the ones that she makes, got to the point of making enough money each month to cover her cell phone bill she could get one. We are more than covering the cost of her phone and her dance expenses…so how could I say no?

More photos from her party…

How to make Perogies

One of Ken’s favorite things to make is perogies. He has a recipe that was given to him by his friend’s grandmother. He always gets Andrew to help and it’s been sort of a tradition for them to make perogies at least once or twice a year. It’s one of those recipes that makes a huge mess and I pretty much leave the kitchen and let them make their mess and come back when it’s cleaned up. Except this time…I filmed the process.

Ingredients

Dough:
2 cups Flour
1/2 cup water
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons sour cream

Filling:
1 Pound of Dry Curd Cottage Cheese
1 tablespoon of Cinnamon
1 Egg (cheese filling only)
4 tablespoons of Butter (onion filling only)
Half an Onion (onion filling only)

Watch the video for step by step instructions on how to make these delicious polish perogies!!

Fruit Pizza : Dessert that kids can make

I made my all time favorite dessert FRUIT PIZZA! Anytime my mom is making a grocery list I try to sneak the ingredients on her list. It’s super easy to make and is ready to eat right away. Watch my video for step by step instructions on how to make it. Kids should get their parents help because you have to use the oven and a knife to cut the fruit :)

We also have the recipe on our website if you would like to print it – FRUIT PIZZA RECIPE.
We actually forgot to add the sugar and vanilla to the cream cheese mixture when we made the video and it still tasted delicious. So if you want to leave the sugar out, no big deal!

Enjoy!
