30 Days of Truth – Where I get to write about myself

I haven’t been a very good blogger lately and it pretty much boils down the fact that I don’t have crap to write about. If I wrote every day it would be the same thing over and over. It would go something like this…

I wake up early because even though my son is a Freshman I still feel like I have to see him in the morning before he leaves, otherwise I would be worried all day about little things like maybe he wore shorts when it is going to be 60 degrees that day. Also I like getting the other 3 kids backpacks and lunches done before they wake up. Then I end up going back up to bed for about 50 minutes. I know it’s silly and 90% of the time I don’t fall back to sleep, but it’s nice and quiet and I can use this time to think or just enjoy having nothing to do.

Then I wake up the kids and we are always rushing around, yelling that they are going to miss the bus. This wouldn’t be the end of the world considering Ken leaves to go work out every day. Sometimes I go with him, but most times I don’t because exercising sucks and yes, I know that is why I can’t loose weight. They all leave and once again the house is quiet. I love quiet by the way. Then I get on my laptop and start working. I eat when I feel like it, I shower when I feel like it, and I usually watch some sort of tv show or movie on our Mac while I am working. I talk with Ken throughout the day, usually when he comes up to take a smoke break outside. So see, he smokes and I don’t exercise. We both suck. Before you know it, it’s 3:30 and I have to start getting dinner ready so the kids can chow the minute they walk in the door a little after 4pm. Every single night we are taking kids to sports or dance or cheer or Catechism or something. We go our separate ways for the most part, but that’s okay because we are lucky enough to be together all day! Then we help the kids with homework and studying. Kids go to bed and we pick up the house and then try to relax together for a couple of hours. The end. See exciting!! I could pretty much write that same thing every day during the week and honestly the weekends aren’t much different. Lots of sports and hanging out together with the occasional night out without kids. I wouldn’t want it any other way, but truly there isn’t much to write about these days.

So…after that long pointless dribble. I found this blog meme on a couple of different blogs – Peggy and Laura both are participating. It looks pretty neat, however some of the topics might be a bit difficult, but I suppose that is the point. It will give me something to write about and I do love to write and ramble on about myself. Isn’t that the point of a blog?

I’m going to start tomorrow. I need to get some work done before I leave to meet one of my BFF’s for lunch today. Well now look, there is something exciting happening today!
