365 Days of Gratitude Begins

Happy 2014!!

I played around with the idea of starting a hand written gratitude journal to focus more on the positive in my life. Sometimes I let the smallest things ruin my day and I forget that despite those things I have a gazillion things to smile about. Things to be thankful for. Reasons to feel blessed. Grateful. I imagined myself writing and creating cute little doodles on the pages as I pour out my heart each day. And then I remembered I can’t draw for crap and writing hurts my hand after about 5 minutes. But I can sure type really fast and take photos…so why not just do it here.

Welcome to the first page of my 2014 Gratitude Journal.
I’m going to use the hashtag #365dog for 365 Days of Gratitude.

Each of the posts will contain a photo. Some will be followed by a few simple words, others may be longer as I share my thoughts/feelings from the day. Most likely I will be writing the entries at the end of the night so I will always be a day behind.

UPDATE: I decided that I will be sharing the photos 1 week at a time, rather than daily here at my blog. I will share the photos daily on Instagram and Facebook with a little blurb. The weekly blog posts might contain more elaborate thoughts about the photos so they will still be fun to read…well hopefully :)

You don’t have to have a blog, you can just share your photos and thoughts on social media only. If you can’t keep up with it every day that’s okay too, just do it when you have time or something you would like to share that you feel grateful for.
