Christmas card debate

This is the second year I have decided not to send out Christmas cards to our friends and family. I figure that the majority of the people that I would be sending cards to are able to read about our latest happenings and view pictures of the kids throughout the year on Facebook and here at our website. There are a handful of people though that I know look forward to receiving their annual photo of the kids, who aren’t online reading this and are probably thinking that they were removed from our Christmas card list. So this is my official public promise to send out cards next year no matter what!

For this year, Friends & Family…this is YOUR official Christmas Greeting from Our Family to Yours! We hope you are Blessed with a great Holiday Season and Best Wishes for the New Year!

I have also included a few photos, that I thought about using for our Christmas card…

{I joke…Andrew wasn’t around and the boys aren’t exactly wearing Xmas card worthy clothes, lol}

What happens when you tell the 3 of them to pretend they like one another…

What happens when you leave them unsupervised…

holidays & occassions

Chase’s 8th B-day!

I thought I would share some photos from the Blake and Karli’s football/cheer banquet and Chase’s 8th Birthday which fell on Thanksgiving this year. Notice the box of Hamburger Helper? It was so funny, Chase was so disappointed and he said something like, “I don’t even like this stuff.” The boy does not care for anything with pasta. He wasn’t even going to open it until I told him to. He was thrilled to see a video game was inside! He was also excited to get a Fred t-shirt, which is the kid who makes videos on YouTube and he recently had a movie on TV. He got some other games and Beyblades which he plays with every day. There are some photos of my nieces who were in town for Thanksgiving as well. Ellie is one and a half and has the cutest curly hair that my sister says she wants to cut off…no way I say!!

The weekend sure flew by! Saturday we didn’t do much, just some cleaning around the house and the kids and I played a bunch of new games that I put on my iPad. One game we took turns playing for hours was The Moron Test. It is so fun, yet it drives you crazy because you go through these levels and when you make 1 mistake you have to start over. The boys were also playing Angry Birds Seasons. I am horrible at this game, but Blake is really good! Sunday we went to church and then stayed indoors doing homework and watching the snowfall.

NKOTBSB

Go ahead and make fun, but Ken and I got tickets to see NKOTBSB (New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys) in June of 2011. I tried to buy them on Friday at 10am for the presale and the choices were horrible. I am so glad that I waited because I ended up getting 10th row, section C on Saturday right at 10am when they went on sale for the general public. Pretty good seats I think! I was a huge fan of NKOTB when I was in high school. I remember stopping at Kmart on the way to work when I was 16 to get their “Hanging Tough” cassette tape. We’ve both always liked Backstreet Boys and seen them in concert in 2000 during their Millennium tour. I had a crush on Kevin who was the worst singer, but best looking in my opinion. Too bad he isn’t part of the group anymore, bummer! Also, Andrew really liked their music as well and this was his first concert when he was only 5 years old! We asked him if he wanted to go with us, but he just laughed. I don’t think there is any reason to be embarrassed, most of the people there will be our age anyways! Gotta get ready to peg the bottom of my jeans and tease my bangs up as high as possible!

Love You More

Maybe if I start blogging again I will start taking more pictures…so let’s jump right in. I’m on my iPad tonight though, so no photos for this post, lol.

Tonight Karli and I enjoyed dinner and the Nutcracker with some girlfriends. I feel so blessed to have a daughter to be able to enjoy these types of activities. Just think without her maybe I would have never seen a Nutcracker performance. While having sons is great there is nothing like having a mini me to hang out with. Not to mention the female adult conversation with a great friend…what a fun night.

Now Karli and I are cuddling in bed watching Eclipse. It was this or Disney channel, obviously Edward wins hands down. Ken was up here a second ago and when he left Karli whispered, “Don’t tell Daddy that I love you more”. When I told her that wasn’t nice, what if I said I loved Chase more than her…she replied, “Well it’s just I love you 100 and I love Daddy 99”. I told her that was sweet, but she should love us both the same…but Awww.

Now she is asking me what comes after a million, a billion, and a trillion? Umm, gotta check Google for that one!
